About the project
The Innovative Curriculum Explorer Interface (ICEIface) project is a JISC funded project that aims to design and build a graphical interface for complex datasets, such as curriculum data.
What you need to know about ICEIface
- ICEIface stands for Intuitive Curriculum Explorer Interface
- ICEIface is part of the JISC Rapid Innovation Programme
- ICEIface are working to create a graphics-based interface layer that provides intuitive exploration and interrogation of complex datasets
- The dataset chosen for the test case is the Undergraduate Medical Curriculum at the University of Manchester
- ICEIface will provide a Java-based layer built in GWT that will integrate with any ontology based dataset
- ICEIface builds on the work of the Crampon Project
- ICEIface is 6 months long and ends on November 2009
