Dr Mike Donmall of The National Drug Evidence Centre in the Division of Epidemiology and Health Sciences has authored the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime/European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction's global tool kit 'Guidance for the measurement of drug treatment demand'.

The aim of the guide, which has been published in languages including Russian, Arabic and Spanish as well as English, is to improve standards for data collection and monitoring around the world. This should enable a more uniform approach, facilitating comparative analysis, a clearer picture of drug trends and improved capacity to measure and respond to treatment demand.
