Academic Clinical Fellows

Recruitment of ACFs

ACF recruitment is undertaken by the North Western Deanery.  Recruitment usually begins in October for a 1st August start date the following year.  For further information, including a current recruitment timetable, please visit the North Western Deanery website.

Monitoring ACFs

All ACFs have regular informal meetings with their Academic Programme Lead (APL) and Training Programme Director (TPD). In addition they are required to have formal meetings that are documented to ensure satisfactory academic progress is demonstrated for ARCP. Each ACF is responsible for organising Academic Progress meetings with the appropriate people in plenty of time. These meetings should be documented using the appropriate form. All completed forms should be sent to the MAHSC ICAT Administrator, Sarah Williams, at the University of Manchester either electronically or in hard copy format.
