The Core Technology facility (CTF) is a state-of-the-art research facility based in the hub of Manchester's biomedical and life science cluster. It is the focus for cardiovascular research in the region. The Cardiovascular Group moved into one of the academic research floors in 2006 when the building was completed.
The interior of CTF is open and spacious with plenty of natural light.
The laboratories in CTF are furnished with state-of-the art research equipment.
The Core Technology Facility (CTF) is connected via a series of bridges to several other buildings housing biomedical scientists providing an integrated and stimulating research environment.
The laboratories in CTF are multi-user providing for group interaction and collaboration.
Investigators are involved in Postgraduate teaching. We have clinicians studying for MDs, life science/biomedical students studying for 3-year PhDs and 4-year BHF-funded studentships. We run a MRes Cardiovascular Health and Disease programme. View: British Heart Foundation four-year PhD student video profiles
