Tissue injury, repair and grafting biology

This work focuses on the response of tissue to injury and the development surgical models to better understand the cellular biology of trauma. The group currently work on a variety of models both in vivo and ex vivo and specialise in techniques such as microsurgical injury and 3D cellular profile mapping.

Current areas of interest area:

v3D cellular profile mapping of inflammatory cells (red) surrounding a single grasping suture (black) and acellular zone (blue) in a tendon (beige) repair model.
