About the research group
What we do
The Developmental Biomedicine Research Group comprises over 40 investigators working in clinical and laboratory research projects concerned with physiology and treatment of human health and disease. The research activity within the group extends from basic discovery science in molecular and cell biology through to translational and clinical research.
Laboratory bases include AV Hill Building, Michael Smith Building, Stopford Building, as well as Manchester Royal Infirmary, St Mary's Hospital, and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
Research work is organised within a number of clinically driven thematic groups, and we are promoting increasing interaction between researchers amongst these groups. We are holding a series of half-day workshops on cross-cutting themes of research.
