Applicant eligibility
Decisions about an individual's applicability for a fellowship are made on the following criteria:
- Relevance of an individual's interests and skills to the research activities of the group
- Availability of funding for the project.
Please note: There is no automatic funding for any of the fellowships, therefore individuals will need to consider how their period of research study could be funded. Possibilities include:- 'Local' funding for overseas fellows to bring with them to Manchester
- Application to funding bodies in UK for visiting fellows
- Self-funding (individuals support themselves at no cost to GI Science)
- Funding by grant income held by members of GI Science. This is dependent on current grant success and varies widely with time
Please note: Fellowship/attachments in GI Science do not include any Professional Clinical training.
