Health Economics: staff
Professor Matt Sutton leads the Health Economics Team at The University of Manchester, which is based primarily within the Health Methodology Research Group.
The team have particular expertise in the following methods:
- Multivariate and non-linear regression techniques (especially instrumental variables, panel data models and stochastic frontier techniques)
- Qualitative and consensus methods
- Experimental choice modelling
- Bootstrapping and other techniques for the analysis of clinical trial data on costs and patient outcomes
- Systematic review and modelling methodologies, including Monte-Carlo simulation, to synthesise secondary data analysis
