Rehabilitation Science
The Centre for Rehabilitation Science currently has five areas of research activity that focus on the allied health professional contribution to alleviation of pain, treatment response and management of frailty in older age:
- Restoring and maintaining muscle function through exercise and cognitive behavioural therapy
- Therapeutic modalities
eg electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound and laser therapy - Muscle physiology
eg mechanisms of muscle fatigue - Treatment outcome
- Validity and reliability of assessment
