The vast majority of the artefacts have to remain in storage because of a shortage of display space. Many items are grouped together to form a series of collections:- Glass medicine measures

A huge collection of Edwardian teaching medical lantern slides, which belonged to William Stirling (1851-1932), Professor of Physiology - Anaesthetic equipment
A wide range of anaesthetic equipment including a Pinson's ether bomb, a Silk's inhaler and a rare Kurer's dental inhaler - Ophthalmic equipment

Dorothy Davison collection
A large collection of medical illustrations and paintings by Dorothy Davison (1890-1984), a medical artist who worked closely with neurosurgeon, Geoffrey Jefferson (1886-1961).
