Occupational Hygiene (MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate)

Course description

The programme is delivered via blended learning and its primary objective is to deliver academic training in most of the disciplines relevant to occupational hygiene, culminating in an academic qualification that is accredited by the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (FOH), of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS). Students proceeding to the MSc will, in addition, receive practical training in planning, implementing and interpreting a piece of academic scientific research. The programme structure provides qualifications at the following levels:

Note: All taught course modules will be assessed via examination held at the University at intervals throughout the programme and the final year via submission of a dissertation.  Attendance at these examinations is mandatory and cannot be deferred unless under exceptional circumstances.

Entry requirements

Potential students should hold an honours degree (2:2 or above) preferably in a science discipline. Extensive professional experience, coupled with evidence of further training or qualifications, may be considered in lieu of a degree for initial entry to the Certificate/Diploma.
