Postgraduate research

The School offers a wide variety of PhD/ MPhil degrees, the Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (ChM) research degrees.

Taught programmes

The School provides exciting new Masters of Research (MRes) programmes and a large selection of full or part-time taught programmes for biomedical professionals with a number taught using web-based distance-learning.

Professional training

The School works with the Royal Colleges and the North Western Deanery to prepare students for membership examinations and further training.
