"I am a clinician and recently finished the MRes in Translational Medicine and am now studying for a PhD at the University of Manchester. During a fantastic MRes experience I expanded my insight into the new concept of translational research methodologies, a bridge from bench to bedside.
The MRes course was an opportunity to design my PhD proposal and gave me a chance to develop my future career in medical research.
I had ample opportunities to work practically in a well-resourced laboratory and also benefited from regularly discussing the potential of my work with others in an interdisciplinary research environment. I really enjoyed the taught modules and I'd highly recommend the MRes to clinicians considering a career as an academic."
