Course details

Contemporary academic and practical training in genetics applied to disease and healthcare. The course will enable medics and biomedical scientists to pursue a research-based career in genetics or academic medicine.

The MRes is ideally suited for those students who wish to pursue a career in clinical or laboratory based genetic medicine and provides an excellent background for those who want to pursue their research through a PhD. The course will also provide excellent training for students seeking a genetics career in biotech or industrial R&D. The Genetic Medicine research group has many contacts with leading pharmaceutical and biomedical companies.
