How to apply: Masters of Research
Applications: guidance notes
All applicants must provide an application form and the following supporting documents:
- Two academic references from independent sources (ie not the proposed supervisor/advisor)
- Two referee report forms
Referee report form (PDF 28KB) - Photocopies of degree certificates and official transcripts of previous study (where available)
- Evidence of English language ability (if appropriate). Please note, if any documents are in a language other than English, you will need to provide official translations.
- Students applying for research degrees should also include a research proposal if required
- An up-to-date CV
- A copy of your passport (if you will need a visa to study here)
Online application
Applicants should apply online. Supporting documents can be uploaded to the online system. Without these documents applications cannot be considered. If applicants are unable to upload documents they can be sent by post. Applicants should approach the designated contact for their programme to enquire about the correct postal address.
Applicants who cannot access the online form should email the graduate office to request a pdf copy of the form: pg.medicine@manchester.ac.uk
How to apply for the MRes in Translational Medicine
Apply online as described above. However, note that there are 2 pathways through the MRes in Translational Medicine:
- Translational Medicine: Interdisciplinary Molecular Medicine (option A)
- Translational Medicine: Pharmaceutical Cancer Translational Medicine (option B)
Applicants must select their preferred pathway through the MRes at the online application stage. There will be the opportunity to switch pathways following induction to the MRes, should students decide to alter their route through the course.
