Course details

A collaborative degree programme that brings together expertise from the School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences and School of Material Sciences.

This programme provides:

  • postgraduate-level training to equip students from biological and/or medical-related backgrounds with the specialist knowledge and research skills to pursue a career in the field of tissue engineering/regenerative medicine
  • a primary focus on strategies to repair, replace and ultimately regenerate various tissues and organs to solve major clinical problems
  • a comprehensive insight into topical issues including stem cells, polymer technology, surface fabrication and gene delivery
  • training to students to identify major clinical needs and formulate novel therapeutic solutions

How to apply

The MRes TERM is over-subscribed for 2012 entry and so, unfortunately, can no longer accept applications. Applications are welcomed for September 2013 entry with any enquiries to be directed to Dr Sarah Herrick (sarah.herrick@manchester.ac.uk).
