Postgraduate taught: Masters degrees

 

Degree awarded: MSc/MPH/MRes/MA/PGDip/PGCert

The School of Medicine offers a wide range of postgraduate programmes for biomedical professionals wishing either to:

    • Gain recognised qualifications in their specialist area
    • Explore a research interest with a view to progressing onto a PhD programme
    • Gain valuable experience that will enhance their future career

Duration: 1 year (full time); 2-3 years (part time), which allows students the flexibility to continue their full-time professional career

Teaching methods: Some programmes are fully distance learning, using the latest web technology

Programme structure: Diploma programme consists of the taught modules only, while the full MSc includes a substantial research project.

Please note: Many programmes teach the current syllabus for National Clinical and NHS qualifications, allowing students to take these examinations concurrently while others are recognised state qualifications in their own right.
