How are you coping with distance learning, and how have you overcome any problems that you experienced?
I am now accustomed to the web-based learning system. I feel more confident browsing through blackboard which has greatly enhanced my learning experience particularly the discussion section.
Previously my major challenge was getting burnt out at the end of the working day. It is very difficult balancing my responsibilities at work and my studies. Even with all the motivation I had within me to push on.
I have however accustomed myself to wake up early each day and be at work by 7:00 am in the morning. I use the first two hours to read (course materials, web links and text books). This time is very important to me as I am more alert and there are few people at work to distract me. I am glad to say that so far this is working well for me.
How do you think taking the course is influencing you in your current job?
The MPH course is helping me understand and appreciate my work better. I am also more confident in undertaking research and critiquing journal articles.
How do you think that successfully completing the course will affect your future career?
Successfully completing the course will award me a very good job. The MPH will advance my career in the field of research and epidemiology.
