School of Medicine

Rhonda Lee

Rhonda Vice President/Director Integrated Medicine, (Birmingham, UK)

What attracted you to the course?

The University of Manchester is a reputable educational institution that offered one of a few MPH on-line courses which suited my existing work and family committments. Furthermore, although I had already been offered a place at another University the range and choice of modules were closer to my interests.

How was the experience been for you?

Learning on-line has been an new and exciting experience, convincing me that on-line learning can be interactive and enjoyable. The mixture of students from different backgrounds and nationalities brought a variety of experiences. With the help of tutors we generated great topics of discussion.

How has taking the course helped you with your career plans?

The MPH has enormously influenced my professional career and I have successfully integrated it into my work. One particular success is initiating research as part of my work, and developing a research strategy for the organisation. It has also steered me even more so into the domain of public health and adopting an evidence based approach to my work.
