Facilities: Stopford Building
Space at the Stopford includes approximately 1500 sq ft of laboratory space, which is certified for the handling of biological safety level 2 organisms and includes a dedicated tissue culture suite and molecular biology laboratory. Adjacent areas are used for offices and there are ample storage facilities.
A broad range of facilities are well supported by senior scientists providing technical assistance. There is ready access to core facilities including:
- Bioimaging (single and multiphoton confocal microscopy, laser dissection, atomic force, TEM and SEM microscopes)
- Affimetrix gene chip microarray facilities
- Biomolecular analysis (protein identification, post translational modifications, protein-ligand interactions)
- Bioinformatics facilities
