Role
I currently work for the National Primary Care Research and Development Centre and the NIHR School for Primary Care Research. My work within NPCRDC is in the Self Management and Quality themes, and within NIHR concerns Co-morbidity and New Research Methods for Primary Care. I also work as Postgraduate Director for the School of Community Based Medicine, and am a member of the Psychological Therapies Network and Primary Care Mental health Research group within the Institute of Health Sciences.
Research
My interests concern effective ways of improving self management of long term conditions, patient based measures of quality in primary care, and the analysis of mental health services in primary care, including psychological therapies and self-help interventions.
Methodological Knowledge
My methodological interests are in psychological measurement, randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews, and the development and testing of complex interventions.
