Biography

David is a Lecturer in Public Health Medicine. He is also a Consultant in Communicable Diseases with the Greater Manchester Health Protection Unit and Director of Infection for Stockport PCT.

In the University he is Course Director for two communicable disease and two major incident modules on the MPH.  He is involved in undergraduate medical student teaching and supervision. Research interests involve: new vaccine assessment and other aspects of the immunisation programme: he also undertakes research in sexually transmitted infections.

For GMHPU and Stockport PCT he is involved heavily in immunisation programmes for which he also has direct clinical responsibility primarily around children. He is also involved in infection control and the management of CBRN incidents.
