Biography
Peter Warn is a Research Fellow in the Respiratory Medicine group within the School of Medicine in The University of Manchester. He has worked with Professor David Denning on fungal disease since 1997.
He graduated from the University of the West of England in 1982 and was initially employed in the Diagnostic Microbiology Laboratory in the Plymouth and Bristol and Weston-s-Mare Public Health Laboratories as a Scientific Officer. In 1989 to joined the Tropical Medicine Group as a Senior Scientific Officer in the Department of Medicine at University Of Oxford . This post was based both in Oxford and Kilifi and was to study severe falciparum malaria in children. In 1997 Peter joined the Professor Denning’s Mycology group at the University of Manchester as a Research Associate. He completed a PhD in 2003 on Epidemiology of and Resistance in Candida tropicalis and was promoted to a Research Fellow in 2005.
